Canaan Sells 3,952 ETH and 54 BTC for $13.9M, Uses $5.4M for Share Buyback
Canaan said it sold all 3,952 ETH and 54 BTC held for sale at the end of August, at average prices of about $2,400 per ETH and $79,000 per BTC, generating approximately $13.9 million in cash. Of the proceeds, about $5.4 million was used to repurchase 13.6 million ADSs. The company still held 1,868 BTC at the end of August and said it plans to maintain a strategic digital asset reserve.
