Ripple CEO: The Crypto Market Is Being Hurt by Strategy's Financial Engineering
On June 27, 2026, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse stated in a CNBC interview that Strategy's approach amplifies market excitement during an uptrend but also exacerbates negative impacts during a downturn. Essentially, it remains a leveraged structure and is creating a negative compounding effect.
He believes that the long-term value of digital assets should stem from real utility, rather than applying leverage or borrowing money to buy more BTC. While he remains bullish on BTC, he feels that Saylor's team is not focusing on the right things and has hurt the overall market.
