CME Group’s First Weekend of 24/7 Crypto Futures and Options Trading Sees Over 7,200 Traded (~$50 million)
CME Group, the world’s largest derivatives exchange, announced the launch of 24/7 trading for its cryptocurrency futures and options products. During the first weekend following the launch, more than 7,200 contracts were traded, representing ~$50 million in notional value. CME said the move is intended to meet growing demand for around-the-clock liquidity and risk management tools, while further narrowing the gap between traditional financial markets and the 24/7 trading nature of digital assets.
