Trezor finds suspected hardware implant in Safe 5 device sold by CryptoBilis
Trezor received a responsible disclosure report involving a single Trezor Safe 5 purchased from CryptoBilis in August 2026. The device has not yet been received for examination.
Customers who bought Trezor devices from CryptoBilis since March 2026 are urged to take precautions. Those already using one should move funds to a newly created wallet with a fresh recovery seed.
Trezor says no CryptoBilis buyer has reported lost funds. The reseller was removed from its official reseller list on October 9 following reports of tampered Ledger devices
