Vitalik：EF Is Not Ethereum’s Center, but a Smaller Node With a Clear Mission Vitalik Buterin said the Ethereum Foundation is not the “center” of Ethereum, but one node with a clearly defined purpose. He said the EF will become smaller, more long-term-oriented and more opinionated, focusing its limited resources on Ethereum’s core priorities, including censorship resistance, capture resistance, openness, privacy and security, rather than broadly taking on ecosystem-building functions. He added that ETH is Ethereum’s most financially valuable product, but some of the work needed to support ETH as an asset falls outside the EF’s scope and should be carried by other organizations in the ecosystem.
