Prediction market platform Kalshi announced on X that it has launched Bitcoin perpetual contracts. Previously, the CFTC approved KalshiEX to list the BTCPERP contract, which is tied to the spot price of Bitcoin. The CFTC said the product complies with the Commodity Exchange Act and the relevant core principles for designated contract markets (DCMs). Previously, Polymarket also launched invitation-only perpetual contracts and plans to open them fully to the public in the coming weeks.
