GERMANY AXES €15B WARSHIP PROJECT
Germany has canceled its €15.2 billion F126 frigate program and will instead buy up to eight lower-cost MEKO A-200 warships from TKMS.
The move reflects Berlin’s push to accelerate military rearmament with proven, off-the-shelf equipment.
The decision deals a blow to Rheinmetall and highlights Europe’s shift toward faster, more cost-effective defense procurement.
