IRAN PUSHES HORMUZ FEE PLAN
Iran is proposing fees for ships using the Strait of Hormuz, saying security and environmental services could generate up to $40 billion a year. Tehran is seeking regional support, but the U.S., Oman and Gulf states oppose any tolls on the international waterway. The proposal would require broad international approval before it could be implemented.
