WALL STREET PROFITS SURGE 51% AS AI BOOM FUELS RECORD PACE
Wall Street profits reached $45.9 billion in the first half of 2026, up 51 % YoY, according to New York State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli.
That already exceeds New York City’s $45.3 billion forecast for the entire year.
If the current pace continues, annual profits could surpass $90 billion, fueled by AI spending, stronger M&A activity and elevated trading volumes.
