Verus–Ethereum Bridge Exploited for Over $11M
A cross-chain bridge between Verus and Ethereum was attacked for more than $11 million. Blockaid said the issue resembled past bridge exploits like Wormhole and Nomad, stemming from verification that failed to ensure source-chain parameters matched Ethereum-side payment data, and could be fixed with roughly 10 lines of code. Some Verus block-producing nodes went offline after the incident, briefly halting block production.
