Banca Sella said it has completed the notification process with the Bank of Italy and will become the first Italian bank able to offer crypto-related services. The bank plans to launch digital asset custody and transfer services for selected clients by the end of 2026.
Banca Sella has also participated in the Bank of Italy’s Fintech Milano Hub pilot since 2022 and is a founding member of Qivalis, a consortium of 37 European banks aiming to launch a euro-pegged stablecoin.
