Core producer prices in the United States, which exclude food and energy, rose by 1% over a month earlier in April 2026, the most since March 2022, following an upwardly revised 0.2% increase in March and well above market forecasts of a 0.3% advance. On a yearly basis, core producer prices rose by 5.2% in April, up from 4% in March and also above the expected 4.3% climb.
