CEOS SEE INFLATION SURGING ON IRAN OIL SHOCK
Business leaders expect inflation to accelerate as the Iran war drives up energy costs, according to a Cleveland Fed survey.
CEOs now forecast inflation at 3.7% over the next year, up from 3.1% in the first quarter and the highest level in a year. Executives also expect their firms’ costs to rise 3.5% and plan average price increases of 3.3%.
