Strategy Launches Bitcoin Security Consortium With BlackRock, Coinbase and Others, Pledging $15 Million Over Three Years
Strategy has launched the Bitcoin Security Consortium, with founding members including BlackRock, Coinbase, Galaxy, Anchorage, ARK Invest, Blockstream, Block, and Digital Asset. The members have collectively pledged $15 million over the next three years to support Bitcoin developers and security research. The consortium said its first area of focus will be preparing for the long-term implications of quantum computing on Bitcoin cryptography, while emphasizing that it will not direct Bitcoin's development but instead support the existing open-source developer and research community.
