FED SURVEY: FINANCIAL WELLBEING STABLE BUT ECONOMIC WORRIES PERSIST A Federal Reserve survey shows Americans’ financial wellbeing was largely unchanged in 2025, with 73% saying they are “doing OK” or comfortable, and 63% able to cover a $400 emergency. However, sentiment varies widely, with lower-income, younger, and Black adults reporting declines in financial wellbeing. Concerns about jobs rose to 42%, while only 26% rated the national economy as “good” or “excellent,” down from pre-pandemic levels. Most households continue adjusting spending due to higher prices, and about one in four workers reported using generative AI at work, with users more likely to see career benefits than job replacement.
