Jeff Yan: Hyperliquid Discussed Onchain Derivatives Regulation With U.S. Policymakers
Hyperliquid founder Jeff Yan said the team recently met with U.S. policymakers in Washington to discuss the regulatory path for bringing onchain derivatives markets to the United States. Discussions focused on global demand for onchain trading and the fundamentals of DeFi. Yan added that the team is working toward enabling compliant access to Hyperliquid for U.S. users. Previously, Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) and CME Group had pushed U.S. regulators to restrict Hyperliquid.
